Description
The Rometa tumbler machine applies an aged effect to dry concrete pieces by making them rotate and collide inside a cylinder. This surface treatment breaks sharp edges, creates an irregular texture, and achieves a rustic, natural finish highly sought-after in decorative pavers and kerbstones. The quality of the finish largely depends on the proportion and mixing of the aggregates.
The dry pieces enter the tube (tumbler) and travel its entire length while rotating; as they collide with each other, the edges and corners are slightly worn down, producing that aged appearance.
